The Story
Alec Bradley was established in 1996 by Alan Rubin, a Florida businessman who sold his hardware importing company to pursue his passion for cigars. Named after his children, the brand entered a crowded market at the tail end of the 1990s cigar boom. Rubin attended the 1996 RTDA trade show and found a small manufacturer in Honduras willing to produce his cigars. Early years were challenging, but a pivotal partnership in 2000 with cigar professional Ralph Montero helped the company survive and grow. The brand's defining moment came in 2011 when the Alec Bradley Prensado was named the #1 Cigar of the Year by Cigar Aficionado, catapulting the company into contention with the world's most renowned cigar makers. Today, Alec Bradley produces a wide range of highly rated cigars from factories in Honduras and Nicaragua, maintaining its reputation for bold, flavorful blends at competitive prices.
