The Story
The Diesel line was launched in 2009 with a single, audacious vitola — the 'Unholy Cocktail,' a thick 5-inch belicoso that announced the brand's no-compromise philosophy. A second full-bodied blend, Diesel Unlimited, followed in 2010 with four vitolas including a massive 7-inch, 60-ring double corona. Blended by AJ Fernandez and distributed through the Forged Cigar Company (a division of Scandinavian Tobacco Group), Diesel has become synonymous with bold, unfiltered Nicaraguan power. The brand's most notable expansion came in 2018 with Diesel Whiskey Row, a collaboration with Rabbit Hole Distillery that features Mexican San Andres binder tobaccos aged in bourbon barrels. The Whiskey Row line showcases a five-year-aged Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over bourbon barrel-aged binder and Nicaraguan long-fillers from Ometepe, Jalapa, and Condega. Diesel has established itself as a go-to brand for smokers who want full-bodied intensity without breaking the bank.
