The cigars proved so popular with guests that by 1984 they were being sold in Swiss tobacconists, and by 1989 they had reached the American market. Zino Davidoff initially distributed the cigars under the Davidoff umbrella before Oettinger Davidoff AG formally acquired the brand in 2004.
